I undertook a project at university with the goal of reducing paper wastage with receipts and enhancing the customer shopping experience. The concept behind the app was to leverage NFC Bluetooth technology in card machines to transmit receipts to users' mobile devices and store them within the app. Additionally, the app allowed for returns to be processed using a fingerprint scanner instead of requiring signatures or email exchanges with cashiers.

Receipts within the app are categorised by the associated bank account and organised chronologically by date. Users can view detailed receipts by tapping on them, with the option to initiate returns if applicable.

Since my time at university, Google Pay and Apple Pay have gained widespread adoption. There is potential to integrate this receipt management system with these platforms or operate in conjunction with them.
